How to Create a Compelling Virtual Studio Visit

Robin Williams, Assistant Curator at The Contemporary, and Big Medium Board Member and Filmmaker, Aaron Weiss, will share helpful tips on how to create an interesting and inviting virtual studio visit.

Robin K. Williams is Assistant Curator at The Contemporary Austin. Previously, she held curatorial positions at the Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit, where she curated Danielle Dean: True Red Ruin (2018) and co-curated the thematic group exhibition Sonic Rebellion: Music as Resistance (2017), as well as at the Blanton Museum of Art and Visual Arts Center in Austin. Her writing has appeared in international periodicals including Stedelijk Studies and Sin Objeto, several exhibition catalogs, and in Pastelegram, Glasstire, and Arts + Culture Texas. She has taught art history at Texas State University and The University of Texas at Austin, where she is completing her PhD. Her dissertation on Joan Jonas addresses issues of performance in contemporary art.

Aaron Weiss is the founder and owner of One Story Productions, an independent documentary production company creating customized videos used for marketing, websites, social media, community awareness and fundraising.
